Arguing in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals

 In 2017, I represented a father in an international abduction case involving a child from Paraguay. We filed the case in federal court. To proceed on this case, I had to apply to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and also, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. We were successful in the trial court. When the mother appealed, we had to respond to the appeal in the 5th Circuit Court. I was honored to argue the appeal before the 5th Circuit justices. We were successful on appeal and the child was returned to Paraguay. Definitely a career highlight!
